This is the third in the popular animated series based on a true story. Balto - voiced by Maurice LaMarche - is the stray, half-wolf, half-husky outcast, who is caught up in another heroic adventure, with his son Kodi - voiced by Sean Astin. Set in the Alaskan winter of 1928, the local sled dogs may be out of a job with the onset of airplane mail delivery. A race is on to see who's fastest. But when the mail plane crashes into a mountain side, all rivalry is set aside. Balto leads the way in a dangerous mission to save the injured pilot, Duke - voiced by Keith Carradine. Other voice talents include American Comedy Award winner Kathy Najimy - who starred in "Stuart Little", "Sister Act", "Sister Act 2" - and Oscar® and Golden Globe® nominee David Paymer - who starred in "Mumford" and "Get Shorty".
