The preview of the film "Maria y Assou", a maroco-Spanish coproduction, took place Monday January 23 in a de luxe hotel of Casablanca. The event proceeded in presence, inter alia, of the director Silvia Quer and the principal actors. Younès Bachir and Mariola Ruiz in particular which interpret Assou and Maria respectively, hero of the film éponyme. Probably satisfied of the reception reserved for the new production, the team of turning and the actors present this evening lent themselves to the many questions of the assistance touched by a sober?uvre and rich person of lesson. And marvelously interpreted by young actors. The film with the very current topic is a social denunciation against the many evils which mine the company such as racism. "It is the first time that I work in Morocco with Silvia. I think that it is a very good initiative to work in its company, especially for us (actors) who evolve/move the abroad I hope that this collaboration will continue in the future ", declared, satisfied, the actor Younès Bachir. As for Silvia Quer, which presented for the first a film, it gave the counterpart to the actor and insisted on the prevalence of certain evils in the company and places which is that of the victim. "Maria y Assou". Assou, a young Morrocan left to make his studies in Spain meets Maria, tempting Spanish girl. It is immediately the thunderbolt; they know that they are made one for the other and that they will make their life together. Assou and Maria marry. Their union, favorably accomodated by their respective families, gives rise to two beautiful children educated according to religious convictions' of the parents in an irreproachable complementarity. All seems to be held in Brave New World. But, a sad event will upset the life of this mixed couple. One day, by leaving the bakery where it works, Assou has only one idea at the head: to find the heat of its house. But, it does not know that darkness of this night holds a bad fate for him. Assou is attacked by a band of completely drunk néo-Nazis directed by a certain Antonio. Assou is beaten with died and succumbs to its wounds. The sad news plunges Maria in a deep pain. A shock which it tries to leave while laying down a quite precise objective: to bury the skin of his/her late husband in his country of origin, Morocco, instead of so delivering it to an "inhospitable" ground in its eyes. Its step will butt against many obstacles. One calls upon initially the fact that Assou has Spanish nationality. Maria is not at the end of her sorrows. The lawsuit trails and ends up showing a very lenient judgement with regard to the defendants. The crime of Antonio and its accomplices are stripped, by the court, of its racist aspect and are regarded as a manslaughter, which makes the verdict excessively lenient. Maria is disabled. Until where will go so that the criminals are severely punished? And which will be the fate of the skin of her late husband?
