Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit marks the feature film debut for Aardman Animations' cheese-loving everyman and his pet pooch. As Wallace might say, in between mouthfuls of Wensleydale, it's "cracking" stuff.

With only a few days to go before the giant vegetable competition, Wallace (voiced by Peter Sallis) and Gromit's humane pest control business is booming.

Disaster looms when a huge rabbit-like creature begins to decimate the town's vegetable plots. Competition hostess Lady Tottington (Helena Bonham Carter) implores Wallace and Gromit to catch the creature. So the fun and games begin.

Like Wallace and Gromit's previous adventures, this is a joyous conflation of comedy, action and pungent fromage. Every frame is crammed with quirky detail, like Wallace's bookshelf (East Of Edam, Grated Expectations).

The quality of the animation is breathtaking - Gromit's eyebrows have never been more expressive. Five years in the making, Curse Of The Were-Rabbit has been worth the wait.
